The client creates beautiful and complex structures for their customers and any visitor to the website would inherently be looking first and foremost for pictures of the work. By embedding both a full screen autoscrolling photo gallery and an extensive collage gallery, JWD knows a picture is worth a thousand words.

For some reason, I could see this website having a step-by-step explanation of the hiring process presented in a cartoon graphic like you'd find with a business that has a mascot. I hand drew this graphic and scanned the image into the website. The client was very pleased to receive such a personal and creative addition.
Develop relationship through conversational expression
When thinking about the ideal interaction of a consumer with a contractor, I thought about the importance of a personal connection with the worker and developing trust in what can be an arduous and extensive process. I wanted to not only center Ruby and Stephen as people within their business site, but also use every menu link or button text to create a conversational, approachable relationship with the user.
